Heart and vein care in Tabriz, for patients outside Iran.
This page is for travellers, visitors and Iranians living abroad who have a heart or leg-vein problem, such as chest pain, palpitations, high blood pressure, leg swelling or varicose veins, and would like to be seen by Dr. Moazeni, a specialist in cardiovascular diseases and varicose vein treatment in Tabriz. It explains what to collect before you come, how the visit works and how to reach the support team.

- Leg vein Doppler ultrasound reports, and any report of a clot, vein procedure or operation
- Blood test results, including cholesterol, blood sugar and kidney tests
- A list of all your medicines with the name and how you take each one, including any blood thinner, and a note of any medicine you stopped or changed
- Your home or clinic blood pressure readings, if you keep them
- Hospital discharge letters and reports of any heart or vein procedure you had in another country
- Your allergies, your other long-term conditions, and any family history of heart disease

Practical questions
Can a diagnosis be made from my records alone?
Not usually. Your records help the doctor understand your situation, but a diagnosis and a treatment plan come after an examination and the right tests.
Should I stop or change my medicines before I travel?
No. Keep taking your medicines as prescribed and do not stop or change any of them without your own doctor. This matters most for blood thinners and blood pressure medicines. Bring the list with you.
Is it safe to take a long flight with a heart or leg-vein problem?
Ask your own doctor before you book. If you have had a clot, take a blood thinner or have chest pain or breathlessness, this matters even more. On a long journey, move about regularly, drink enough fluids and wear loose clothes.
How long would I need to stay in Tabriz?
It depends on the tests and visits you need. The doctor can tell you after the first visit.
I have chest pain or sudden breathlessness. Can I wait until I travel to Tabriz?
No. Chest pain that is sudden or lasting, sudden shortness of breath, fainting, signs of a stroke, or sudden swelling and pain in one leg need care today, where you are. Call your local emergency number. See the list of urgent signs in the guide.
What about language, fees and insurance?
These are not confirmed yet and are listed above as awaiting details. Please do not assume anything until they are confirmed.
What number do I call in an emergency?
115 is the emergency number in Iran. It works only while you are in Iran. If you are outside Iran, call the emergency number of the place where you are.
Every patient's situation is different; ask your doctor about your own.
